Membership Information and Application
Membership in the North Dakota Association of School
Psychologists (NASP) allows school psychologists within the state to facilitate
and maintain professional relationships with others. Members have
access to the latest information regarding state conferences, legislative
initiatives that impact the profession at the state level, an opportunity to
network and exchange ideas and strategies, and the opportunity to develop
professional leadership skills.
NDASP has four membership categories.
Individuals holding regular, regular retired, lifetime, and student membership
are entitled to vote and hold office, while associate members are not.
Regular Membership in NDASP is open to any person who meets one or more of the
following criteria: 1) holds a state and/or national certification as a School
Psychologist; 2) Is actively engaged in the practice of school psychology; 3) is
trained in the field of psychology and functioning as a supervisor or consultant
for school psychologists; 4) is primarily engaged in providing college or
university training for school psychologists; or 5) is retired from the practice
of school psychology.
Lifetime Membership is open to individuals who have reached the age of 65, and
who have been regular NDASP members for at least five years.
The membership dues for lifetime members are waved.
Student Membership is open to any individual who is currently enrolled in a
graduate-level training program for school psychologists.
In order to qualify for student membership, the student must be enrolled a
minimum of 6 hours per semester.
Associate Membership is available to individuals, agencies, or entities engaging
in a closely related field of education or mental health, and who are not
otherwise eligible for regular membership in NDASP. Associate
members may not hold office or vote.
